AliasVault is an open-source end-to-end encrypted password and alias manager. With AliasVault you can create unique identities, passwords and email addresses for every website you use. Keeping you safe online.
In an ideal world you don't need AliasVault, in reality you do. Many companies track your online activity without your permission or knowledge, creating shadow profiles of you. Even the most reputable companies can fall victim to data breaches, causing your personal information to fall into the wrong hands. AliasVault helps keep you safe online by letting you control how websites see and track you.
Every website, a new alias, email address and password
When your data is shared, you know which service caused it
Only use your real identity and email address when it's absolutely necessary, keeping your private information private

As a software developer and architect, I've always been passionate about fighting spam and making privacy accessible. Back in 2013, I launched asdasd.nl, a Dutch temporary email service that later grew into SpamOK.com, helping thousands protect themselves from spam and data collection.
Over the years, one thing became clear to me: email protection alone wasn't enough. People needed a way to protect their entire digital identity, not just their inbox. That's why, in 2024, I started building AliasVault.
A self-hostable, end-to-end encrypted password and alias manager that puts users in control of their digital identity. It lets you generate unique passwords and email aliases for every site you use, keeping your personal data secure.
Since the beta release in December 2024, I've continued to develop AliasVault with frequent updates. We've added browser extensions, mobile apps, full offline mode, multi-language support (14 languages and counting), passkey support, best-in-class self-hosting with comprehensive documentation, and more: making AliasVault more powerful and accessible with every release.
AliasVault is open source, entirely self-funded, and proudly independent. The project is built around transparency, community input, and privacy-first principles. Optional premium cloud features will support long-term development, but the core version is free by design and anyone can self-host, inspect the code, and stay in full control.
